As I prepare this post, I'm sipping my Cinnamon Spice Herbal Tea, the baby is napping, and the older two girls are out playing in the snow! I love having a quiet moment! Up here in the Yukon, they often plough the snow into a big pile in the middle of the road (weird, right?), especially on a quiet street. So my girls have their sleds out in the street where they keep climbing a 12 foot pile of snow and sliding down it! All the neighbourhood kids are out there taking turns!
I prepared these two pages at the same time. They are for seperate albums, but I find if I can make the pages similar from photos of a single event, it makes things a lot easier for me! I found this paper quite a while ago. A friend and I split the paper pack (remember that day, Karlene?). The layout is fairly simple. I tend to keep it simple for my girls' albums. It was inspired by Allison Davis' sketch found here. I say "inspired by" because I really didn't follow a lot of the sketch. I just found that it gave me a good jumping off point in putting my layout together.
Besides the slightly different colour palette, the main difference between the two is that on the first page, I sponged the edges of every piece of paper. I was trying to decide which I liked best. I think it just depends on the mood of your photos. For these, either works.
I hope you all have a delightful day!
