Snow Play Layout
I had a heck of a time getting a good picture today! At this time of year we have very little natural light to work with up here in the Yukon. That really limits my abilities as a photographer! Anyway, I hope you can see the details in this photo!
This layout is for a holiday challenge at Pink Cat Studio! I absolutely love the Pink Cat Studio stamps! The little children remind me of my own girls! For this layout I used Lily Snowboarder. She's the first digital stamp I ever bought! I coloured her in using coloured pencils! No really! I don't have any Copic markers (though I'd love to try them) and coloured pencils are the only way I can manage to get the shading I like!
On a lot of layouts that I've seen lately, there have been tears in the distressed edges with a different colour of patterned paper peeking through. I wanted to try that on this layout. I used a retired Designer Series Paper Pack from Stampin' Up! so all my paper coordinated easily. I (of course) inked the edges of all the paper and distressed the outside edges. For a little more distressing, I spritzed a little Apple Glimmer Mist here and there. For a little more detail I added some Prima Say It In Crystals flourishes that I've had in my stash a long time.
Have a delightful day!
