Here's the last of the Christmas Gift Posts! Every year, I make a small album for each of the Grandparents of our family. It usually covers the highlights of our year and is saturated with pictures of the kids! On occasion, I have bought an album and filled it with pictures when I've been short on time. But this year, I wanted to do something special (and save a little money)! I even recycled!
I started with cut up cereal boxes! The thin cardboard of cereal boxes was just perfect for this project! I went through my paper stash and found some remnants of coordinating paper packs that had been sitting there a while, and found enough to make four albums! So using Mod Podge, I adhered paper to the front and back of each piece of cereal box. I had to put them all under heavy books for a few minutes to flatten the pieces back out. Then I ran my ink pad directly around the edges.
The embellishments are from Tim Holtz's die Tattered Florals. All the edges of the flowers have been sponged with ink. The centres are basic Rhinestones.
To bind the album, I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology D Rings and then dressed them up with every ribbon that I had that matched.

Have an absolutely wonderful day!
