A Tasty Read
After the kids went to bed last night, I managed to get down to my craft room for some much needed papercrafting! I just downloaded this image (A Tasty Read by Elizabeth Bell) and wanted to play! She's coloured with my Copics ( E000, E00, E21, E34, E35, E97, E99, R20, R24, R27, R29, Y21, YR20, YR21) and I touched up the grass with pencil crayons since I don't have any green Copics yet. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Olivia Collection. The edges of the cardstock pieces are all sponged with Stampin' Up ink. I added some detail with my white gel pen to finish it off!
After I coloured my image, I went looking around for challenges that I could enter as I made my card. I found these three and thought they were perfect! Here they are in no particular order:
Simon Says . . . . . . Bingo! For this challenge, we were given a bingo card and then we got to choose any three items that were in a straight line on the bingo card. I chose Ribbon, Die Cuts, and Embossing (heat or dry). This card has white taffeta ribbon, flowers from Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Florals Die, and I used my Scor-Pal to emboss lines around my image.
Copic Creations - Challenge No. 42 ~ What's New? As soon as I got my first order of Copics (just last week), I found this Copic challenge blog! This challenge is easy: use anything that I have that is new! So, my Copics are new (my first batch, actually!), the image is also new! When I found A Tasty Read at Elizabeth Bell Designs I just HAD to get it! She is so sweet and reminds me so much of my daughter, Taylor!
Friday Sketchers: Challenge #138 Make sure you go check out this sketch! It's a wonderful sketch to work with! It made making a beautiful card, so easy!
Well, I'm off to get some time outside! Today is a rare Yukon winter day with the temperature only at -1 degree Celsius! I hope you all have a delightful Saturday!
