This Little Piggy . . .

You know, I've been doing too many cards lately!  It makes me forget how I love to make a great layout!  The challenge at Prairie Fairy Fridays is "Inspired by a Nursery Rhyme".  There are so many wonderful images at Prairie Fairy Designs that would work for this challenge!  I chose the beautiful Twinkletoes to work with.  It made me think of doing "This Little Piggy" with my girls.  Then I remembered that when Emily (my middle daughter) was five years old, she had her own version of "This Little Piggy"!

I traced a cutout from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Die - Ornamental with a Copic .3 Black Multiliner to add a little detail.  After cutting out a full butterfly from Tim Holtz Sizzix Die - Fanciful Flight with the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Mask Sheets, I used the mask to sponge Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose and Baja Breeze Ink around the outside.  I found the ribbon just a little too thick, so I twisted it up and then wound it around the layout, through the Quickcutz flourishes and under the image a few times.

Here's the closeup of Twinkletoes:

I coloured her with my Copic Markers (Pink-R24, R22, R20; Green-YG97, YG17, YG07, YG03; Skin-E21, E00, E000, R20; Hair-E35, E34, YR21, YR20).  Here's a closeup of Emily's version of the rhyme (I sprayed the corner with Apple Glimmer Mist):

I love the tags on the layout!  I distressed them, stitched them and then put a large brad through the top:

Thanks for visiting today!  If you'd like the chance at a little prize, remember to leave me a comment about your creative process here!
