It's my turn to host the challenge over at the Digi Design House Blog! I've never gotten to choose my very own challenge before! So I chose something very near and dear to my heart: BLING! Hahahaha! Okay, so it's not 'near and dear to my heart', but I love adding shiny, sparkly things to my projects! Plus, I found out that my local dollar store has started carrying rhinestone flourishes for only $1 each! Woot woot! My husband has asked me to stop going there for the time being. Apparently, I do not have to stop in there every day to check and see if there are any new colours. *Sigh* Men just don't understand. Anyway, on to the card! This absolutely gorgeous image is called Sunflower it's available at Digi Design House. I have to say, this may be my new favourite stamp! Don't be surprised if you see it again! LOVE IT! It was so fun to colour (I used my Copic Markers: blossom-YR18, YR15, Y17, Y21; blossom centre-YR18, E99, E35; stem & leaves-YG17, YG07, YG03) that I coloured it twice so that I could cut out one blossom to pop up and add dimension to the flower. Here's the closeup:
For some added detail, I stitched some chocolate embroidery thread around the image, used my sewing machine to stitch the panels, used my heat tool to crinkle the ribbon, and added some bling in the form of rhinestone flourishes.
