Apparently, today is Respect For Chickens Day! I really wasn't sure if I could make a greeting card for that kind of holiday, but then I thought: A Chicken Joke! So this is what I came up with (I did not write the joke). The challenge at Hambo Hoedown this week is to use spots and stripes! The paper I used is from the Basic Grey Hopscotch 6x6 paper pack. The images are Farm Chicken - digi and Storefront Background - digi by Hambo Stamps. I coloured the images with my Copic Markers (R24, R22, R20, YG17, YG07, YG03, E99, E35, E34, E21, Y17, Y21). I've loved Hambo's stamps since I started with them, but the more I use them, the more I love them! Here's the punch line of the joke:
Before I sign off, here's some more chicken jokes:
What do you call a rooster who wakes you up at the same time every morning? An alarm cluck!
Why don't chickens like people? Becuase they beat eggs!
Why does a chicken coop have two doors? Because if it had four doors it'd be a chicken sedan!
Here's some news from Hambo:
It’s a Hambo Blog Hop! And you can join us!
Our jammin’ theme is “Hamming it Up At the Movies.” Using any Hambo image, either rubber or digital, create a project that represents and depicts a movie title! Maybe it’s your favorite movie, or maybe it’s one that you don’t even like! Whatever it is, we want to see your movie creations!
The hop is scheduled for Friday, May 20, and is set to go live at 7:00 AM CST. All blog hop posts must stay at the top of the page for that whole day. A prize will be awarded to the customer whose movie-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way! The winner will be announced on the Hoedown blog, as well as on the Hambo blog on Wednesday, May 25.
If you are interested in participating, please email Judy at firstname.lastname@example.org by 11:00 PM CST on Wednesday, May 11. The blog hop order will be emailed to you on May 16.
Sample blog copy for the hop will be available after you sign up, if you desire to use it.
Come to the movies with us!
