Vintage Springtime
I am just so honoured! Last week I was chosen as Top Chef at Catered Crop! This gave me the opportunity to participate this week as a Guest Top Chef. The recipe from this Bird's Nest Card is:
* Colors – blue, brown, kraft and green
* Stamps and Stickers – nature, birds and birdy things
* Color Mediums – Copic, craft paint
* Embellishments – pearls, beads, stick pins, crocheted/lace ribbon, recycled cardboard (fun!)
* Tools – paper pircer, sewing machine, distress tools, die cuts
* Techniques – paper piercing, sewing, distressing
* Theme – nature, birds, shabby chic
Now, if you've ever played at Catered Crop before, you know that for your new creation you just take the parts of the recipe that you want! So here are the ingredients that I used:
birds, Copics, pearls, beads, stick pins, crocheted/lace ribbon, stitching, distressing, shabby chic
This is probably my most favourite recent card. I LOVE this Graphic 45 paper (Once Upon a Springtime)! The image is another favourite of mine, the Cherry Blossom Bird by DDH. I coloured it in with my Copic Markers. This is my first banner. I cut out several triangles until I was happy with the shape of one, and then used it as a template for all the others. It didn't take as long as it sounds. : ) I've been hoarding these stick pins for a LONG time and decided it was high time I used them! The beads are from my daughters' stash. : D
