1st Day of School

I've realized that I haven't been posting as much as I usually do.  I'm going to try to make that up to you!  This is one of my first digital layouts.  Looking at it now, there are a few things I would have done differently, but it's cute all the same!  The products are all Basic Grey.

Love You

It's my turn to host this week's Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use It Challenge!  I wanted to pick something nice and easy, and fall related, so I chose leaves.  That's right, just use leaves on your project!  I have two little leaves on mine right around the flower.  This image is called Kissy Kissy and is from The Greeting Farm.  I just love colouring the hair on this image!  So fun!  Right under the image is a piece of the packaging that the flower came in!  I love it!  It had that writing on it and everything!  Perfect!  I added some sparkle to the dress with Crystal Stickles.  I hope you get a chance to play the challenge this week!

Sweet Wonder

Every time I see that centre photo of my daughter Jessi, I laugh.  The look on her face is just priceless!  She was so excited and enthralled by that little camping lamp!  I still can't believe that I managed to get that picture!

As I continue on this digital scrapbooking journey, I'm amazed at all the different things that you can do with it!  This grunge photo in the centre, was done up using a technique I learned in Jessica Sprague's Digi: In Deeper Advanced Digital Scrapbooking Class.  I just love the look of it!  The sketch I used today is from Basic Grey.  The supplies (with the exception of a few brushes) are all Basic Grey.

Autumn Splendor

Ever since I made this card, I've wanted to try the leaves in different colours!  I love fall colours!  I've made this card for the Michelle's Hope You Can Cling To It challenge today at Splitcoaststampers.  All month long we're making cards for Breast Cancer patients at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.  For today's challenge, we're to be inspired by our happy place.  During my last pregnancy, I did some hypnosis for relaxation.  My happy place was in a grove of trees in their full autumn splendor.  I just love autumn!  If you'd like, I made up a tutorial on how to make those leaves!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Owlette by Tiddly Inks, Short Sweet by SU
Ink:  SU - Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Cherry Cobbler
Paper:  SU - Soft Sky, Really Rust
Accessories:  SU Ribbon, Plastic Packaging, White Craft Paint,

Wild About You!

There's a new challenge today at Splitcoaststampers on the Ways To Use It forum!  We got to use one of my favourite (though hardly used) techniques:  Faux Tile Technique.  Of course, I didn't read through to remind myself of the directions, so instead of using Glossy Accents for the squares, I used Versamark and clear embossing powder.  I think it worked out great though!  I used the Cave Folks image by Tiddly Inks.  I just love it!  I coloured it with Copic Markers (colours listed below), cut it out, and then glued it onto the coloured cave.  Then when I heat embossed it, the body shapes stood out a little more!  I love that!  The sentiment is from the Wild About You SU set.  The background paper had a small paint splatter as part of the graphic.  So I ran with that and splattered my whole paper with actual craft paint.  It was totally messy, and very fun!  I hope you get a chance to play today!

Supplies:
Stamps:   Cave Folks by Tiddly Inks
Paper:  Kaisercraft DP, SU Cardstock - Basic Black, Whisper White, Copic X-Press It Cardstock
Ink:  Versamark, Black Soot Distress Ink
Accessories:  SU Ribbon, Craft Paint, Clear Embossing Powder
Tools:  Heat Gun, Copic Markers, SU Cutter Kit
Copics:  Her hair-E49, E47, E35, E99, E97; His hair-E47, E99, E97, Y21; Her skin-E21, E00, E000; His skin-E34, E21, E00; Her dress-E47, E35, E34, E21; His dress :) -  C9, C8, E49, E47, C6, E35

Once There Was a Snowman!

I've been having some fun today!  I never thought I'd enjoy digital scrapbooking this much!  The digital supplies are from Shabby PrincessJessica Sprague,  and Basic Grey.  The sketch is from Sketch Support.  I love their sketches!  The pictures, are really from this year!  My girls and I made our first snowman of the year 2 days ago (October 12).  My cute little 2 year old refused to wear her coat.  So that's her in a sundress and snow boots!  We had hot chocolate when we came in!

Gone Fishin'!

You know, I really love the cute images at Prairie Fairy Designs!  The Gilly's in particular!  This adorable Gilly is Fishin' Gilly.  I adjusted the hue on her just a little so that she'd match my papers better.  This page is digitally scrapbooked using supplies from Shabby Princess and Jessica Sprague.  The challenge this week at Prairie Fairy Fridays is:  Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice!  So fun!  My girls are quite outdoorsy, fishing and hiking and whatnot.  So this cute Fishin' Gilly is just perfect!

What's Warm?

How do you stay warm when the weather turns cool?  Michelle's challenge at the Splitcoaststampers Ways To Use It forum is "Pass Me a Hot Beverage".  My particular favourite is the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate from Starbucks!

As you know, I've been taking an advanced digital scrapbooking class at Jessica Sprague.  It's so fun!  This layout is using the techniques I've learned in lesson three!  Most of the elements are from the Basic Grey Mellow Collection with a few other odds and ends thrown in.

I hope you all get a chance to play the WTUI challenge today!
